Finding out whether the cursor is in a math box

Hi,
There's an obnoxious bug described in bugzilla bug #1820, where the
cursor movement is wrong in a math inset inside a RTL paragraph. Can
you please point me to a documentation or portion of the code where I
can check whether or not the cursor is located inside a math inset.
I believe the fix should be in the file 'text.cpp' somewhere. Extra
documentation for cursor flow functions would also be appriceated, I
could find no such thing in the website and the source tree.
