Sorry, I misread Key_Space for Key_Escape. But Key_Space of course doesn't look right as an LFUN can have arguments.
That's the reason for Key_Space. Space will also select the current item and you can continue typing arguments. Note that also Enter will not issue the command, but go back to the command edit line.
