There are now still 2 lyx2lyx blockers left:
- export userguide to LyX 1.4.x format and open the result with LyX 1.4.4
-> Crash
the reason are the characters \^{\i} and \^{\j} at the end of the userguide,

- with the latest lyx2lyx changes lyx2lyx requires admin permissions on Windows
what makes it unusable for normal Windows users. The reason is the line
temp_file = os.tmpfile()
in lyx_1_5.py, see http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4033
