Wikipedia also says that the system is the same (and my laptop's plug
even fitted into the slightly different French sockets, so I feel on 
the safe side....)

["Shuko" of course should read "Schuko" on that webpage. From
"Schutzkontakt". There really was a time when inventions got German
names *sigh* ]
