Without the need to install them in the fonts directory on Windows, or
install a package font containing them (latex-xft or similar) on *nix,
or install them in the fontconfig configuration files.
You see, conciseness and clarity often don't go together ;-)
Feel free to change that description if you think it is so cryptic ;-)

Yes, I think that gusing the the fonts makes that more clear ;-)
