Ack. But this is completely unrelated. LyX has to read the file (this
is where the format kicks in). Providing the GUI to edit the data is a
different matter and only depends on the data itself.

I have never seen a GUI for raw xml that is a joy to use. Maybe for
people who enjoy regedit...
