Note that until 1.5.4 one was able to delete the label (while still having numbered a formula) by simply replacing the label with a space (see http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2556#c10). Now, doing the same thing, the label *and* the numbering get nuked and one as to reinstate numbering. I find this quite uncomfortable and would have preferred to still have unresolved the old bug 2556, but having the simple workaround described above still working :( -- Enrico
