In the official installed, the complete ImageMagick and Ghostscript are installed. This has the disadvantage that you first need to download more than you really need and that you don't always have the latest version. Especially ImageMagick releases every week a new version and often with bugs. When you have it installed by an older version of LyX you won't get the latest version of it, since the installer detected an anlready installed ImageMagick. With my installer you get with every new LyX release the latest version as the needed files are bundles with LyX, and therefore also removed when LyX is uninstalled.
