there is more freedom than governance here. simply find any bug in our
tracker and try to fix it. the assign field in the bugs does not mean
much, particularly it doesn't mean that somebody is working on it...
I agree with Pavel. If you feel particularly polite, you can always ask on
this list if someone is working on a particular bug.
You can also ask for suggestions on easy/fun bugs to start with.
