considering rather finishing status of work on bigger features i think this is the reasonable way. even before few months people asked about intermediate release which raises few questions on our release maintainer: - will you publish some release schedule so we start moving along? - what is the current voting ratio for version number. i'm personally still for 1.7 and let 2.0 to be xml release, but no hard opinion actually. pavel
