Hi. I'm just wondering:
Does anybody know if the special needs of sweave in combination with
beamer have been taken into account in the development process? I
think we probably need a Lyx environment to insert a
[containsverbatim] frame.
Sweave generates a lot of verbatim output, and so it breaks ordinary
beamer slides. It is necessary to change the begin frame command by
adding [containsverbatim] for the slides on which sweave command
output is displayed. Doing this breaks the "pause" or +- settings for
items on the slide, so it is not desirable to simply add
[containsverbatim] on every single slide in a beamer/sweave
presentation. For some slides, users will also need to add the frame
option [allowframebreaks] if the R output is lengthy.
Currently, when I use beamer with sweave in lyx, I have to use ERT to put in
\being{frame}[containsverbatim]
and
\end{frame}
for each slide, and some of the benefit of LyX as a convenient
graphical interface is lost.
