Actually I wrote them so the input checking could be complete. You don't
have to be an idiot to misspell a directory name or filename and since the
browse buttons weren't working you had to remember the filename/directory
for a few seconds while you typed it in. Even goldfish can't remember
longer than 5 seconds ago and everyone knows goldfish are smart ;-)

Maybe into src/frontends/support/ as opposed to your other suggestion of
src/. They should be optional so John could use QColor.
