I have currently reached the point where I can read back XML-Lyx data
(fonts, tables and a few simple things).
But it seems that there are many things I do not understand :
- why is NEW_INSETS not the default ?
- when I define NEW_INSETS, I cannot create frames anymore. This is
troublesome since I wanted to activate this to study them and debug my
XML input and output for them.
- when I import paragraphs I get strange messages when NEW_INSETS is
not activated (about some inset not being found, with a number). I
cannot reproduce the message since I am working with NEW_INSETS at the
moment.
For those interested in what I am doing :
- I work on a CVS version from last week (I upgraded)
- I have put the sources under PRCS, an easy revision control tool
that manages branches and is independent from CVS (so that I have no
conflicts with the metadata relating to LyX repository)
- My current version needs libxml 2.0 or later. This library's source
files are 1MB or so. I guess some people will want a cheap replacement
for libxml to include in LyX. I have not found one yet but maybe I could
hack one.
