In other words: Go Back doesn't work from inside a branch (this includes the right-click Jump Back To Saved Bookmark, and is irrespective of whether the branch is activated or not).

When the cursor is inside a branch & you click on the Insert
cross-reference icon, select a reference from the list and then click on
the Go to Label button, as expected the cursor is placed just before the
labelled item in the text. Having checked that this is indeed the item
you wished to reference, you now click on the Go Back button, expecting
the cursor to return to where it was inside the branch, but instead it
is left just before the branch inset label.
