I think what you are telling 'weird' is; then the cursor is at the left or
right edge and we are still moving beyond the screen; the text cursor is not
stable (I noticed that the given attachment of yours).
Is this a correct patch for it?

Yes, it is fine now.

When the row slid to a wrong position (say when entering from right corner
leftedge is set to 10 pix unexpectedly); if I move the mouse pointer in to
and out of the document window; without any key pressing position resets to
the current position. So we only need to find out what is missing and force
it call.

How do you see it is the right position? I do not see any indication of a change when focusing in/out.

Anyway, do you have cases where this discrepancy is a real problem? The difference is always 3px, as far as I can see. We could maybe ignore the problem for now.

I think it would be nice to start on your wiki page a list of bugs to fix. It would start like (in order of importance): - when row is slid and using cursor up/down, the row should reset. Instead it is the new visited row that is slid

- when clicking on a row that is scrolled, the pointer gors to the wrong position. Likewise, selection does not work.

- when in a long math equation, using Home/End does moe the cursor to the right position, but the row is not scrolled to show it.

- others?
