This page shows the bugs that were fixed for LyX 2.1.0 and who reported them.
Wow - and these are only the already fixed bugs. I was really not aware of that.
I don't think we structurally ignore your bug reports.
I was referring to cases where a bug/problem occurred only on my machine. I am still of the opinion
that when I manage to get an error, someone esle will be able to suffer from the same. However, we
already discussed this by private mail - this way many thanks for the replies about this thread.
And I will add that I *APPLAUD* Uwe for reporting so many bugs. (Yea, Uwe!!)
The work he does on the
documentation not only helps our users, but it helps the development of LyX,
too. That work
exercises a lot of LyX's capabilites, and it uncovers a lot of bugs that
otherwise would make it out
into the wild. Indeed, I'd suggest that Uwe is probably *the* main tester of
the development branch.
Oh, thanks. That is why I prefer to re-test the new features short before the final release. Then
one is more obvious, even to his own features, and can therefore detect remaining problems better.
While we are at it, I want to thank the translators of LyX documentation files, namely Ignacio,
Jean-Pierre, Siegfried, Koji and Waluyo. I got many important feedback from them. They think about
LyX in a different way than we developers and have special uses cases. Many of my bug reports are
the result of this feedback.
Also many thanks to all LyX po-file translators! LyX became more and more popular during the last
years in countries for whose language(s) LyX can offer a translation.
regards Uwe
