- to be redundant in case ftp.lyx.org is down I set up a directory to provide the windows installer independent of sourceforge: https://ftp.lyx.de/ or http://ftp.lyx.de/ If you like, I can upload more material or can even mirror ftp.lyx.org (if somebody can explain me how to do this).
I guess you can do both. But I have no idea of how to set up a mirror. What kind of machine do you have on the other end of the address.
