Greetings, I don't know if this is simple to accomplish, but I think it would be great if LyX could create standard PDF Comments Balloons based on LyX Notes.
For instance, if I write a sentence and put a note in the end of that sentence, LyX+LaTeX would put the PDF balloon near to its last character. I don't know if LaTeX can reveal the position of a character from the original text (page, x, y). Also, I don't think that this option should be enabled by default (maybe it would become a "per note" configuration). For collaborative work this might be useful (I place a comment for my readers while writing my text, without changing my pages layouts and float locations). Anyway, this is just a suggestion.
