Maybe your lyx-activate that activates current view is what we need.
What about your suggestion of window-activate? If we open two windows, and run the following on the mini-buffer: command-sequence repeat 500 self-insert x; lyx-activate The window in which that command sequence was executed is the window that is activated. Scott
