LyXRC - %%s/scripts

Hi,

LyXRC specifies "%%s/scripts/...." as converter command, but how/where is the 
%%s/ expanded/processed, when running those commands?

Trying to add this in ~/.lyx/lyxrc.defaults

+\converter gnuplot      pdf6      "$$s/scripts/gnuplot2pdf.sh $$i $$o"    
""''' ])

but it gives me this error when trying to convert an included .gp file

  sh: 1: 5995s/scripts/gnuplot2pdf.sh: not found

while it works OK if I use an abs path there. The syntax seems to me identical 
to other converter lines, any clue?
