Nobody seems interested. Probably no one uses PDF(luatex) as default output
format.
The script lyxpreview2bitmap.py is correctly called with '--png ...
--latex=lualatex', but
the created png file is not cropped properly.
Removing the conversion Preview->png does not help. The created ppm file shows
the same effect,
but at least the width is now correct.
Preview with lualatex:
Size of generated png: 951 x 1345
Size of generated ppm: 345 x 1345
Background of math not changed.
Preview with xelatex:
Size of generated png: 551 x 142,
Background changes
