OK, but this is due to the switch from simple (numerical) BibTeX that
produces \cite references. These are defined differently in Natbib and
Biblatex, and it is impossible to solve this without change in one of
the directions.

Do you have a case where it fails when coying from Natbib (or Jurabib)
to Biblatex?
