Your argumentation is like I decided to drive with a car. If the fuel is empty I have to refuel it because I want to drive. No fuel - no drive.

It is more like the following: your are invited at my home for the week-end and we decide to use the car a bit. You tell me "Trust me, I'll prepare everything". Then we have this nice car trip, but in the evening, when there is a storm and the power goes down, I realize that you have taken all the fuel I had kept for the engine generator to make sure that our trip is _really_ nice.

And then I do not invite you at home anymore :)
