Dear Daniel,

I suggest that you create a [META] bug like here
  https://www.lyx.org/trac/wiki/BugTrackerHome#METAbugs
to keep track of all the Advanced F&R issues. It seems to me that we are 
not ready to replace simple F&R yet for 2.4.0, but we could try to do 
that early in 2.5.0 cycle.
