I can reproduce.

Strangely, if I compile only the file
074-76-letterlike-numberforms-arrows.lyx with LuaTeX and 8-bit fonts, I
get an error:

  ! TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [input stack size=5000].

I can still try to create an MWE for the other error, but I thought this
might be related to it.
