Imagine that you have 2 different version of lyx running. Each one previewing
some different pdf. How can you select the correct pipe?
ATM, each call to lyxeditor selects the pipe with higher version.
(I know, this is not the case yet, as you do not have multiple instances
of lyx installed, but it would be possible)
Anyway, you are the expert here, so I have to knuckle under :)
