Is it OK for me to convert all the GIFs on lyx.org to PNGs ?
I doubt anyone runs a browser these days that can't handle PNG
(well except transparent PNGs).
IMHO, lyx is doing itself no favours with the current website: a lot
of it seems out of date. Allan, didn't you have some pending updates
to the site ? Sorry, I can't remember.
Also I think there a couple of minor UI issues with the site :)
e.g. if I want to download something I /always/ look for download,
automatically. "How To Get It" is slightly less obvious.
And "Alternate LyX sites" should IMHO just say Mirrors, and the
other net things should be elsewhere. We should have obvious clear
sections for the most common things in the sidebar.
