Do not try to write refstyle prefix if we do not know the prefix.
Otherwise, compilation fails.
Just wondering: Are there concrete cases in the shipped layouts for that, or is
it just a security measure?
It bit me, though for a somewhat different reason. The previous bug has
us trying to write refstyle code for thm*, which had an empty refprefix,
and that failed to compile. I suspect that some of the more obscure
theorem environments might not have refprefix's though.
BTW I have code ready (for 2.6.x) where we can add support (via layouts) for
cases that are not covered by (some of) the ref packages, for instance
linguistics stuff. And also some other work that will help us, ultimately, to
support everything for cross-referencing.
That sounds terrific! When I package RC1, I will also branch 2.5.x, btw.
