I see the assert in 2.4 and my guess is that this bug is probably as old as our reload capacity, so not sure about the usefulness of bisecting. I get the assert very consistently, my config is that both windows are of (default) small size and some scrolling via mouse wheel is sometimes needed in the reload window.
