Dear LyX Development Team, My name is Mohamed Raed Boukari, and I am a 22-year-old Electrical and Computer Engineering student from Tunisia, currently completing my engineering diploma at ESPRIT University, accredited by EUR-ACE/CTI. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ISET Bizerte.
I recently organized a university workshop on LyX at my former institution (ISET Bizerte), helping final-year students use LyX for their scientific and engineering reports. The department later shared this event officially on its page, which made me even more motivated to give back to the LyX community. I use LyX extensively for scientific writing, conference papers, and academic reports, and I would like to contribute to the project — particularly in areas such as: - Improving or translating documentation, - Testing and user feedback, - or possibly creating templates for academic reports. I would be grateful for your guidance on how to start contributing effectively. Please let me know which area would be most useful for the team at the moment.
