As a father of teenagers to be called of cringe is a badge, which makes me
proud. :-D

The reason why I was changing the first class slides/notes was to add a section
named "The elephant in the room" regarding learning and AI.

I want them to use the right tools, and with the right use those tools can be
amazing, as you described. [*]

The issue is that for us to learn we need to make mistakes, the more the better
(within reason, of course). :-)

Citing Niels Bohr (from the Quantum Mechanics Copenhagen interpretation)
"An expert is a person who has made all of the mistakes the can be made in a
very narrow field."

In that regard I can assure that learn a lot every day. ;-)

[*] BTW I am using the patch there with no crashes so far. :-)

Best regards
