bibliographystyle

[Herbert Voss]

when i leave the field in the bib-gui for the bibliographystyle 
empty, lyx insert

\bibliographystyle{}

this is a not so bad behaviour when the documentclass
has a predefined style, than latex produces error.

it's better, when lyx inserts nothing!
