We already discussed this and this button has to be there until we have
some other option to (de)select packages! Please have a look at the mail
archive for earlier discussions!

I also like the default A4 values of the geometry packages a lot more then
the latex defaults for A4-paper, so how should I then select to use the
geometry package if you remove the button!
