Meaning? 1.2.1? or 1.3.x?

It would be nice if I could demo this in April in Washington DC :-)

Have you looked at the layout format for Float? Is this similar to what
you had in mind?

I was still thinking of a FloatAllowed field in caption definitions, 
to be used to restrict which floats can use which caption types.
