Yes but the risk is replacing a mis-drawing with a crash, and we don't
find out till it's released. Think how many bugs took some excellent
testing from Michael S to find ...

Well the idea is that when we enter a code freeze (hah !) anything not
targetted to the release shouldn't be fixed, or at least should undergo
some discussion on the list (yes, I know that's what's happening now !)
