Same here on my FreeBSD PC with 0.88. But can this be fixed, so it still works also with 0.88 ? If not, this is the end of running LyX on out-of-the-box FreeBSD :(, since that currently only has Xforms 0.88 in its software ports available. This is even the case for the very last release of FreeBSD 4.6 (from June 15th)! Please keep the 0.88 compatibility alive, until the first working and official release of Xforms 1.0 is generally available & accepted. Regards, Rob.
