No problem. All of the other text related lfuns dispatch to getLyXText() and I can't see (yet) a technical reason why this should be different for cut&paste... The funny thing is, almost every LFUN in BufferView_pimpl/LyXText seem to use its own sequence of cursor hiding, "local dispatching", updating, etc... And most of them seem to work interchangably, so I'd guess in the end a lot of those could be simplified.
