Hi guys,
I try to summarize what I read now:
Java: I aleady forgot.
Mathematical calculations inside LyX:
this is in some basics available already. What is missing is to make a
whole file calculate. I learned that there is Maxima, which is under GPL
and therefore to a better choice than Maple. Maxima seems to do what
Maple does, too. For creating a Environment like MathCAD has I am
basically on my own, still hoping, somebody would at least help me with
the start. Start would mean a very slow work on the issue. Help would
mean, somebody would give a hint about the data structures behind the
screen representation of the formulas to be seen on the screen. At least
somebody could tell me where to begin looking for the structures so I
can begin to create a file which Maxima can process. Not only
simplifying a equation, better making the document "alive".
Maybe I can have Maxima getting its input directly from LyX, I will
still study Maxima and how to deal with it.
Uwe
