Curious. In mainline we should end up ignoring the modifiers and
inserting "Y", which indeed happens to me with 1.2 tree. I cannot
reproduce this anywhere else however (of course in two of my trees, this
comes out as "unknown function" correctly anyway)
I'm still waiting for a yay/nay on that patch too ...
