Feeling like superman I tried to compile the cvs version of lyx as well,
(I've managed to compile it before).
I've done:
cvs update
./autogen.sh
./configure --with-extra-prefix=/pkg/mdhacks/grp/util
--with-version-suffix --prefix=/pkg/mdhacks/pkg/lyx/devel/os
--disable-libtool-lock
Configuration

Then when I make it fails as shown below. Any ideas, or is the cvs
temporarily broken?
