Whenever there was any macro that happened to be the name of a symbol from msa or msb, the user got AMS, no matter whether he wanted it or not. This is 232 forbidden names to be aware of when writing your preamble or when using "unsupported" packages. This happens e.g. for txfonts or wasysym.
