At least for now we are talking about AGU.
I didn't know, but then the code was wrong as it always overwrote
the manual one, and I assumed that it was an imposition of the dtd...
Using pseudo code the it would be:
Is there any label in paragraph?
(Yes) then use it
(No) else include the automatically generated.
