I understand that. Not every body should be able to upload such big files - it could be spam or other waste. I taught that one can set upload limits for every user. I.e. 2MB for the standard wiki user "lyx" and 10MB for e.g. the wiki user "LyXWin".

The main problem with having me involved is that I might not check my mail soon enough to be convenient for you.

No problem. You've been always very fast in answering emails.

Thanks.

How was it managed that Angus can copy his installer to the wiki?

Angus has an account on the web server, and was also given membership in a special group (wiki) that allows him to directly copy files to the upload area. So besides increasing the upload limit on the apache server, you could get an account on the lyx server for this purpose.

(Creating a special account on the ftp server might also be another option, but I'm not really sure about that bit).

This would also be a good solution.
I need the space to save testreleases so that Angus can access them.
