The code to modify is at line 611 of src/support/package.C.

How do you run 1.3.x and 1.4.0 side-by-side, by the way?

I wouldn't want to lose the ability to run them side-by-side. (I do that now with "--with-version-suffix".) It's probably not important enough to bother figuring out a fix.

Since we did that for Windows, I propose that you send an updated
version of your LyX.app skeleton and that we update README.OSX to
explain how to use that.

Sorry, my sentence was not very clear. I was wondering about adding
the skeleton in cvs under development/MacOSX, like we have
development/Win32/packaging/. The idea would be to have everything
(including the setup script) there. Tell me what you think.

Yes, please. I'm attaching the LyX-installer.command shell script to this e-mail. I'd appreciate if people would look it over and modify it: it's likely very crude, but I think it does want is needed.

The lyx skeleton I'll send by separate e-mail, since it's a bit large.
