No. It's a Qt3 thing. I manage to compile with the official qt3 (pfiou,
never again!*) and I have verified that this patch eliminates the
flickering under windows.

*FYI, final linking of libqt2 with full debug (-g) is 5 minutes and 20
megs with Qt4.1. Final dynamic linking of lyx-qt.exe is 5 minutes and
200 megs. Compare that with 300 megs and a lot of time for both
operation for static linking with Qt3.
