On Solaris 8, use of the native tar program bunzip2 -c lyx-1.4.1.tar.bz2|tar xof - retrieves only the two directories config and development. I had to use the GNU tar to retrieve the full lyx-1.4.1 directory. HTH -- Jean-Pierre
