Still crashes for me when I try to load a file.
This time the file dialog appears and the crash happens when I try
to change directory. Backtrace attached.
The backtrace does not help much I am afraid. Could you try to install
it in d:\program and test again?
I don't have a d: partition, and it should not matter.
Who knows, maybe something is hard-coded to my installation path prefix
(d:\program\lyx-svn). I remember Joost and Uwe reporting a bug about the
selecting a file at the root of c:\ in 1.4.x. Maybe those are related.
I am able to
load files using the "Help" and "File->Open recent" menus. Indeed, I
am able to load a file inserting by hand its path in the session file
and then using "File->Open recent".
I do not understand why it works for you and does not for me.
It must be a WinXP vs Win2k issue.
Maybe, but Persio Barros has tested it with success on WinMe. Could you
test again Persio?
Abdel.
