Hello,

I'm from the French translation team, and we're currently working on the fr.po

In order to test them, you must do "msgfmt es.po" once you're finished with your
updates. It generates a file named "messages", which you must put in your locale
directory (/usr/share/locale/es/LC_MESSAGES in my system), renaming it "lyx.mo" and
erasing the existing file. When you'll restart LyX, it will use the new translation.

But I would have one advice too : there are quite a few changes in the new versions,
and you should start by getting one of the CVS versions, either the BRANCH_1_1_6 (for
the 1.1.6fix2) or the main branch (for the 1.2.0), in order to work directly on a
future release, not having to translate everything again in two months... To merge
your existing es.po file with the latest versions, you must do "msgmerge es.po lyx.pot
> es.pox", but all this is explained very well in the README (or so) file in the po/
directory from the CVS.
