Dear LyX-users,
I post this message because I'm writing a thesis in economics about
Open Source and LyX.

I want to make you some simple questions. The goal is to know something about
the people who contribute to the documentation of an Open Source software,
like LyX.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
You help LyX to exist,
so tell me something about you and your work at LyX
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I asked similiar questions to the developer and the users.
Now it's your time :-)

I hope you can help me and all those people who want to know
more about Open Source.

Now the 8 questions
PLEASE: do NOT reply to the list, but only to me: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
(if you want, you can answer in german, french or italian too)

1) When and why did you begin to contribute to the LyX-Documentation?

2) Do you contribute to others opensource projects too? which one?

3) Why do you contribute to an opensource project? for enjoyment? to help
someone to have a software for free? against "closed-source"?
because "Open Source is the Best"? because ....

4) your profession
(i.e. student in physics, professor in economics, engineer of NASA, ...)

5) your age:

6) When did you hear the first time about LyX?

7) How did you hear about LyX?
(i.e. using LaTeX, reading a Linux-Magazine, searching in the web, a friend of
you, a teacher, founded in a Linux-distro, ...)

9) Which opensource project is, in your opinion, the biggest?
the most complex? the most important?

That's all folks.
give me your answer! (on english, german, french, italian)
PLEASE: do NOT reply to the list, but only to me: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Thank you for your time
ciao
antonio gulino
