Hi

The wiki site can automatically send a message when a page is modified.
Initially while testing this I thought I'd have the mails sent to my
private account, but in the long run maybe it'd be better to have them
sent to for instance this list? (not much other traffic :-(

A notification mail typically looks like this:

        Date: Sat, 10 Jan 2004 13:42:04 +0100
        From: Apache <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
        To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Subject: LyX WikiWiki recent wiki posts

        Recent wiki posts:

so people who aren't interested can easily filter them.

It's possible to configure this setting quite a bit, e.g. to reduce the
n:o mails by sending a batch of messages as in the example above.

All the settings can easily be set differently for different pages
and/or groups. This could be used to:

 * Only have mails sent to this list if anything changes in one of the
   'documentation' groups.
 * Have a mail sent to 'lyx-devel' if any of the Devel-pages change

So.. any thoughts on this?

/Christian

PS.

It might make more sense to create a separate list though, e.g.

        [EMAIL PROTECTED]

where the list isn't archived (no point in that is there). Then anyone who
is interested can simply subscribe to that list.
